How I Work

I understand that every business, and the needs of every business owner, is different. Everything I do focuses on your particular needs and on helping you save time and money, while adhering to very strict professional standards and guidelines.

Even though SBA is not a big Five Accounting firm, I maintain tight security and confidentiality, so that the only person who sees your information is YOU. All records are kept completely secured.

Integrity has its own rewards and is the foundation of a company’s reputation. I built my business on the highest ethical standards and values.

Dependability is what my clients say they can count on from me. You are NOT just another number. You are a part of my business. Your email and phone calls are returned promptly (24 hr max).

I specialize in Construction – Prior to starting my own business, I worked primarily in the new-construction Industry. I thoroughly understand terminology that might be gibberish to other Accounting Integrators. Things like percentage of completion, annual 1099s, Lien releases, pre-liminary notices, Stop Notices, Manage Fund Control, Construction Loan Draws, Job Costings etc., are the “extras” I provide for Contractors (General or Sub), as well as Developers.

Accounting Integrator/Specialist – The important thing to remember when working with me is that I’m not just a Bookkeeper. I have 20 years of experience working with small to multi-million dollar businesses. I have an Accounting degree, but not the certification of a CPA. That means I have the tax knowledge of how your transactions would affect your year-end income tax filing. The clients who understand this and make use of my ability to provide clear advice, solve problems and develop strategies are those who are most satisfied with my services. The Chart below shows the differences between a Bookkeeper, an Accounting Integrator/Specialist (me), and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Review this chart to determine if we’re a good fit for each other.

As a certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, I have used QuickBooks software over ten years. I save you endless days and headaches trying to figure out how QuickBooks works and how to produce accurate Financial Statements.

I also specialize in turning “Chaos into presentable Financial Statements” - Your CPA would be glad to work with me, as few accountants have the patience to do the “clean up” work I’ve done on numerous occasions. Your boxes of bank statements/receipts & other records can be picked up and turned into financial statements for your tax preparer/CPA.

I met Lin at a business fair in Rancho Bernardo. What a lucky discovery. She took the pain out of my business accounting chores as promised. I recommend her to anyone who seeks a pleasant, honest, diligent, and efficient accounting service.
