How will working with me save you time or money?
The time part is easy. Even if all I do is manage your books for you (billing, invoices, payments etc.), that’s probably several hours a week that’s now available. Now, imagine that instead of working on your books, or worse, spending days on your books at the end of the year, you were working ON your business. What if, from the extra time you spend ON your business, you get even one new client. How much is that client worth to you? Probably a lot more than you’d be paying me! And, you’ll save tons of money on CPA’s fee at tax time by simply handling your CPA a ready-to-go QuickBooks file on CD.

Why does a small business need SBA when owners can do bookkeeping themselves?
Of course you can do it yourself. You can do your own laundry. You can cook your own meals. You can fix your own car, trim your trees, and so on. But, do you want to do these things? Are they what fill your heart with joy and make you giddy with delight? Maybe some of these things, but I doubt that’s the case with keeping your books. You can save yourself considerable frustration, time and money by just outsourcing for one critical service: making sure your record keeping is set up to conform to Generally Accepted Accounting Standards. Your Chart of Accounts must be set up correctly in order for your financial reports to be accurate, and for your expenses vs. income to be accurate for year-end tax filing.

What is a Chart of Accounts?
Surprisingly, I get asked this question a lot. It’s covered in more details in one of my free tutorials (be sure to download and read them!). A Chart of Accounts is a set up of accounting categories such as:

Income(s)
vs.
Expense(s)
(money coming in)
(money coming out)
Assets
vs.
Liabilities
(what you have)
(what you owe)

Do you work in our office or out of yours?
All training (how to work with QuickBooks or other accounting programs) is done at your office and on your system. Other work can be done at my office via pick up and delivery, or – if you need the work done on your system – at your office.

Do you process Payroll?
With the increasing amount of independent Payroll Specialists on the market, and the reasonable rates charged by these Professionals, I refer you to my associates payroll experts to help you with the ever changing tax laws providing you with peace of mind so you can concentrate on your business rather than with tax deposits etc..

Do you do income taxes?
No. I refer you to associate tax experts (Enrolled Agents – see my booklet on tax tips for an explanation of an Enrolled Agent). Some of my associates are retired IRS agents who know all of the tax requirements & laws inside and out.

The main thing you need to remember is that when you work with me, you’ll pay less for tax preparation. I’ll make sure that what’s handed to the Enrolled Agent or CPA is “Tax Filing Ready”.

Do you have a referral program?
Yes. After you do business with me, you will feel confident in referring me to your friends, family, and business associates. As you do, I will reward you for your trust in me by discounting your rates.

In what areas of San Diego County do you provide services?
Since my office is located in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego, California, I currently work with businesses in mid and north inland San Diego County. But, I am looking into using “remote access” to work with clients nationally.

How do you charge?
My rates vary depending upon the level of service you request and the “conditions” your books are at. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how reasonable my rates are as compared to CPA’s. I have hourly, weekly or monthly rates, depending on your specific needs and requirements.

Call me at 858-385-0107 or email me two days in advance regarding the day you would like me to process your bookkeeping. I can work at your facility and system or I can pick up your materials and process on my system, save your file on a CD and restore it on your computer. My “On Call” rate is two hours minimum.
